In my view Collar is Wearable equipment on neck while leash is attached to the collar used to tug and pull, which exaggerated the relation of master and slave.

While collar is simple, it is not a too dominant equipment as people can show off in many places but a leash held by a person connected to other shows that there is S-M relation and who is master and who is slave.
